This petition, open to all UK citizens and residents, is to ask the Gordon Brown to apply pressure to obtain the release from prison of Chen Guangcheng a blind lawyer, who has been imprisoned in China.

He has been convicted of "damaging public property and gathering people to block traffic". But the reality is that he is an activist against forced abortions (which are carried out up to term) and forced sterilisations undertaken as part of China's one-child policy. He is said to be in poor health, given inadequate food and water, denied medical care and prevented from having visits from his family. So far he has been in prison for over 1000 days and counting.

Become a little child, throw yourself into His arms! It pleases Him that we need Him, that we request, that we confide in His tenderness and in His love.

I'm not a blogger who wants to get attention or who has a wealth of wisdom to share about anything I am interested in writing about - I'm a mama to two and only really know about those two particular small people, I've only adopted twice and am not comfortable writing much about that publicly, I'm not a very good wife or homemaker, am only starting out in home educating 101, craft like a seven year old, am struggling to come to terms with my camera and am a mere baby Catholic. So while I could blog extensively about how to get fat or 1001 ways to ruin your children's emotional well-being by screeching at them or how to decorate for less by not decorating, I actually don't want to do that! I blog for fun and as a "creative outlet" and my blog is my Happy Place. I will take my few thoughts and inflict them on fewer people at a new blog.

This blog has been deleted, and if it is ever updated it will be infrequently and I now have a private blog. If you would like to be invited to read it, please do email and I'll happily send an invitation. I have enjoyed the comments and input and interaction with a public blog, but need to move to a different way of doing things. Nothing bad has happened - just making a new choice.
